Hey there!

Have you ever wondered what was the meaning of life? Why ducks float and yet small rocks don't and other mysteries??? Well neither did your hosts. In Part 1 of Custer's Last stand Ed and Kara look at who George Armstrong Custer was and how he rose through the ranks to ultimately get absolutely wrecked in the the plains of Southern Montana. In this episode Ed looks at some of of the complexities of the Native American tribes including one assuming / very "Slow" Lakota man who rose to great heights and ultimately had a vision that would change the history of America's expansion out west shortly after the American Civil War. To understand just how Custer fell so fast, it is necessary to understand the people who brought him down in just a couple of hours in what would be one of the greatest Dumpster Fires of the Federal Army's history.

We would love to see your stories where you tried to plan out every little detail, but when you executed that plan, it all went horribly wrong shortly after and turned into your own Dumpster Fire.

Be sure to put "Trashcan Fire" in the subject line followed by the title of the story and whether or not we can use your name.
